DecisionBrain was selected as a finalist for the Prix Indus’RO 2022. This year’s event, organized by The French Operations Research & Decision Support Society (ROADEF) at the CNAM (Conservatoire national des arts et métiers de Paris) recognizes innovative solutions in operations research (O.R.), which is a branch of Artificial Intelligence.

ROADEF is devoted to advancing the study and application of combinatorial optimization and operations research (O.R.) methods to solving a variety of problems, especially in the areas of industrial operations and supply chain management. These problems often include network optimization, production management, scheduling and logistics optimization. The prize is awarded by a jury comprised of both industry practitioners and academics.

This year, DecisionBrain was selected as a finalist for the Prix Indus’RO 2022 in the competition for its project with Toyota to streamline its inbound logistics processes. More specifically, the problem is to synchronize the pick-up and delivery of parts from external suppliers to the assembly plants using just-in-time and just-in-sequence methods so that service level commitments are met with the greatest efficiency and least CO2 emissions.
This is the third time DecisionBrain has qualified as a finalist for the ROADEF awards, including two first-prize awards for the best O.R. project of the year:

“We are very proud of this award. Solving a logistics problem for Toyota was in itself a source of inspiration. The Indus’RO award underscores this achievement.”
