Full Stack Developer – Bologna, Italy

Location

Bologna (Italy). Flexible work-from-home policy.

About the Job

This position is for our Bologna office. We have a very flexible work-from-home policy, by which you need not ask for management approval. Yet, we want to build a team and expect some presence in our (very nice) office. In addition, you will have frequent communication with your colleagues in Paris and Montpellier, as well as opportunities to travel to France.

We are looking for full-stack developers in two teams:

  • In our R&D team (the “Platform” team), you’ll work with around 8 people to design and implement powerful back-end and front-end software components used in the applications that we develop for our customers. These components, gathered in our DB Gene platform, strive to match the needs of our customers closely, while achieving reuse across projects.
  • In our solutions team (the “Factory” team), you will not be sent to some customer; instead, you will work in a team of 3–5 DecisionBrain developers to design and implement a tailored application for a given customer, by customizing through code the application logic, the UI, and AI models, based on what the DB Gene platform provides out of the box.

In both teams, we are using Typescript and Angular on the front, Java and Spring on the back, and we deploy to clouds. We are fond of teamwork, helping each other is anchored in our spirit.

About You

What we mean by “full-stack developer” is someone who will eventually be able to code both in the front-end and back-end. We expect that you master either the front or back-end part of our technical stack, and have notions of the other parts that you are willing to develop into operational skills.

We also expect that you will share our interest in solving business problems in the simplest way possible and paying much attention to code quality.

The expected skills are:

  • Mandatory: Java (backend) or Angular (frontend)
  • Nice to have: Python, Spring, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Good written and spoken English
