DecisionBrain is happy to announce that it has been selected as a finalist for the Climate Smart Cities Challenge with Bogotá!

The Climate Smart Cities Challenge is an open innovation competition to identify climate-smart solutions to reduce the environmental impact of: Bogotá, Colombia; Bristol, United Kingdom; Curitiba, Brazil; and Makindye Ssabagabo, Uganda; while creating a better future for all.

DecisionBrain has been selected as finalist for the Climate Smart Cities Challenge ith Bogotá. The objective of this challenge is to improve freight mobility and reduce congestion-based greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants.

To select the finalists, the cities and partner organizations reviewed applications using these criteria:

  • Collaboration potential – is the applicant well-suited to join a team and will engagement with the city support their vision?
  • Impact and innovation – does this solution have the potential to achieve the desired impact?
  • Concept viability – does the applicant present a robust concept that is ready to be demonstrated in a real-world environment?
  • Capability – does the applicant have the track record to deliver?

DecisionBrain’s objective for participating in this challenge is to solve transportation problems with advanced mathematics. By optimizing transportation routes, travel times, and resources, it is possible to reduce CO2 emissions and therefore have a positive environmental impact.

Until May 2022, we will be in a period of co-creation with the city of Bogotá; then, from June to November 2022, if the first collaboration phase is successful, we will demonstrate our solutions in real life.
